Offers being floated for St. George Island real estate.... 08/20/08 The market seems to be heating up with the waning of the summer season. I'm working on three offers being floated from prospective buyers, one I have been working with for quite some time, another who is relatively new to the island's real estate market. The deals here are varied and plentiful - from short sales and bank-owned/foreclosed properties to very straightforward offerings by individual sellers who are pricing their properties right and are ready to make it happen. We are seeing an uptick in price reductions, too, probably echoing the end of the "high" season on St. George. End of year deals are always the sweetest, too, as tax calculations begin to kick in, and buyer and sellers are in the decision-making mode.
