Dolphins feeding in the quiet waters off St. George Island
08/09/08

The beach and the Gulf are different every day I walk at dawn on my turtle patrol. This morning the waters were quiet, and the dolphin were feeding like crazy. I doggedly clicked away with my delayed reaction camera, and managed to catch several views of the dorsal fins of dolphins as they surfaced for air.
Of course, the one that jumped completely out of the water was too fast for me to capture. There were probably about a half dozen or so feeding. I stood and just watched for about 15 minutes - a great way to start the day.
On St. George Island, the real estate market could best be characterized as "quiet." The market environment is almost the perfect setting for end user buyers.
This is not a market to try to flip anything, but the best propreties at the best values are definitely going quickly. The property I told you about just a few blog postings ago went under contract today. Some lucky dog is getting a great deal. An acre, in the Plantation, with a pool, and ongoing rental income.
Wow.
